The practical basis: the interrelation of spiritual life and
spiritual practice. "The Book of the Quintessence of What the Seeker
Needs" (Kitab al-Kunh).
Day 2: 22 March 2011
Ibn 'Arabi's own spiritual life (short anecdotes) and the obligation
of Nasiha ("good counsel", especially of rulers); spiritual "pitfalls"
and illusions and the role of spiritual intelligence.
Short dreams from IA's "Book of Good Tidings" (K. al-Mubashsharat); the importance of the Ruh al-Quds.../"Sufis of Andalusia"; translated selections from IA's K. al-Nasiha ("Book of Spiritual Advice" / "What Can't be Relied Upon")
Days 3 and 4: 23 - 24 March 2011
Learning from the divine "Calls" and the challenges of our proper response: Chapters 519 and 520 of the Futuhat (and related Qur'an and hadith), together with selections from the beginning of the Futuhat ("How to Read the Futuhat: Ibn 'Arabi's Own Advice")

- Summation additional selections from the Futuhat Al Makkiyyah
- Final chapter of the book "The Reflective Heart" (i.e., the divine
"Shadow-theater" section, with its resonances with Indonesia's
